Honey-Chili Glazed Sweet Potatoes with Whipped Ricotta & Lime
Sweet potatoes that melt in your mouth, glazed with honey-chili butter, and served over a lime-infused whipped ricotta, topped with fresh herbs and pistachios.

Ingredients
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter
- 1.5 tablespoons honey
- 0.75 teaspoon salt
- 0.75 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes
- 0.5 cup broth
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1 lime juiced and zested
- 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0 cilantro chopped
- 0 pistachios chopped
- 0 honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup unsalted butter and let it melt.
- Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey and 3/4 teaspoon salt to the melted butter and mix until foamy.
- Add 3/4 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon paprika to the mixture.
- Add 1 1/2 - 2 pounds of peeled and cubed sweet potatoes to the pan and toss to coat them in the spicy honey butter.
- Cook for 7-10 minutes, allowing the outsides to caramelize. Add 1/2 cup of broth, turn the heat to medium-high, and cook for another 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the pan to the oven and roast for 30-40 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender and browned.
- While the sweet potatoes roast, combine 1 cup ricotta, juice of 1 small lime, 1/2 tablespoon lime zest, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, and 1/2 teaspoon salt, mixing until smooth.
- Spread the whipped ricotta onto a serving plate. Top with roasted sweet potatoes, garnish with chopped fresh cilantro, chopped pistachios, and a drizzle of honey.
