Shawarma Quesadillas
A fusion of traditional Middle Eastern shawarma flavors with a Mexican quesadilla, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken breast cut into small cubes or strips
- 2 tbsp greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 0.5 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 wrap tortilla
- 0 sliced onions
- 0 sliced lettuce
- 0 sumac
- 0 mozzarella cheese shredded
- 0 oil or ghee Use your favorite ghee or oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken, greek yogurt (2 tbsp), tomato paste, paprika, chilli powder, coriander, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to marinate.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt (2 tbsp), mayo, and crushed garlic to make the sauce.
- For assembling, place a tortilla on a skillet, spread some sauce, layer cooked chicken, onions, lettuce, and a sprinkle of sumac. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Fold the tortilla in half and cook until the cheese melts and the tortilla is golden brown on both sides. Use oil or ghee for frying.
