Salmon Tacos with Avocado Crema
These fully-loaded fish tacos feature smoky-sweet spice-rubbed salmon, a simple avocado-jalapeño cream, pickled red onion, and shredded cabbage for crunch. Nutritious and brimming with bold, fresh flavors.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil for the skillet
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pound salmon
- 1 avocado ripe
- 0.25 cup sour cream Good Culture brand
- 1 jalapeño seeded
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 0 pickled red onion to taste
- 0 shredded green cabbage or slaw mix
- 0 fresh cilantro finely chopped
- 8 corn or flour tortillas warmed
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon by heating 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Rub this mixture over 1 pound of salmon.
- Cook the salmon in the skillet for 4-5 minutes per side, or until flaky and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a blender, combine 1 ripe avocado, 1/4 cup sour cream, 1 jalapeño (seeded), and 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Assemble the tacos by adding flaked salmon to warmed tortillas. Top with avocado crema, pickled red onion, shredded cabbage, and cilantro.
