Peach Dumplings

Deliciously simple peach dumplings encased in buttery crescent roll dough and draped in a rich whiskey brown butter sauce.

Peach Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 large Peaches peeled and sliced
  • 0 cans Refrigerated crescent roll dough 16 triangles total from 2 cans
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp Whiskey
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup Dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 0 pinch Salt
  • 12 oz Lemon lime soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the peaches into 8 even slices.
  3. Roll a peach slice in each triangle of crescent roll dough.
  4. Arrange the wrapped peach slices in a baking dish.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the whiskey, granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Cook until the sugars are dissolved and the mixture is thickened slightly.
  6. Pour the sauce over the dumplings in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking dish.
  8. Bake the dumplings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
