Chicken Alfredo Pastina

Ingredients
- 1 large chicken breast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 0 salt
- 0 black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup pastina
- 0 salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper optional
- 0 salt
- 0 black pepper
- 0 parmesan cheese for serving
- 0 parsley chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by seasoning it with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breast and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.
- In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pastina according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Stir until creamy and smooth.
- Toss the cooked pastina into the sauce, stirring to coat. Slice the rested chicken and arrange on top. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.
