Gochujang Butter Eggs

Deliciously soft-boiled eggs coated in a savory and spicy gochujang butter sauce, perfect for serving with rice.

Gochujang Butter Eggs

Ingredients

  • 3 egg for soft boiling
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 0.5 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 0 rice cooked

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and gently add the eggs. Boil for 6-7 minutes for a soft-boiled consistency.
  2. Peel the soft-boiled eggs and set them aside.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and water to the saucepan. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Toss the peeled eggs in the gochujang butter sauce until they are well-coated.
  6. Serve the gochujang butter eggs over a bed of rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
