Seattle Dog

Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 white onion sliced
  • 2 jalapeño sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 spicy beef or pork sausage
  • 4 hotdog bun toasted
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese softened

Instructions

  1. Slice the white onions and jalapeños. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Sauté the sliced onions until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Grill the sausages for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are well charred and cooked through.
  3. Toast the hotdog buns on the grill until they are lightly browned, about 1-2 minutes. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on the inside of each toasted bun.
  4. Assemble the Seattle dogs by laying a grilled sausage in each bun. Top with the sautéed onions and sliced jalapeños.
