Steak & Asparagus with Soy Sauce
Better than takeout, this steak and asparagus dish boasts a tender steak and a delicious sauce made from chicken stock, soy sauce, and more.

Ingredients
- 0.5 lb steak
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.5 cup chicken stock
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp cornstarch
- 0.5 lb marinated steak
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 0.5 lb asparagus
- 1 serving prepared sauce
- 0.5 lb cooked steak
- 0.5 lb cooked asparagus
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the steak with soy sauce, a little bit of oyster sauce, black pepper, cornstarch, baking soda, and a little bit of oil. Let it sit.
- Prepare the sauce by mixing chicken stock, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and a little bit of cornstarch together until smooth.
- Add the marinated steak to a hot pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and saute for 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant.
- Add asparagus to the pan and saute with the garlic for 3 to 4 minutes until the asparagus is tender.
- Add the cooked steak back into the pan. Drizzle the prepared sauce over the steak and asparagus. Saute on high heat for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
