Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast
Fluffy brioche bread, filled with a strawberry cream cheese, and cooked in custard, this strawberry cream cheese french toast is the perfect weekend breakfast.

Ingredients
- 110 grams cream cheese
- 17 grams freeze dried strawberries
- 110 grams greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 225 grams brioche bread
- 4 large eggs
- 0.25 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 75 grams milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
Instructions
- In a small blender or food processor, add cream cheese, freeze dried strawberries, Greek yogurt, vanilla, and salt.
- Add heavy cream as needed until you achieve a smooth filling consistency.
- Slice brioche loaf into 2 inch thick slices.
- Cut a slit in the bottom of each slice to create a pocket inside.
- Fill each bread slice with the strawberry cream cheese filling.
- In a baking dish, whisk together eggs with a pinch of salt.
- Add milk and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and whisk again.
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat and melt butter in it.
- Soak both sides of each stuffed slice in the custard mixture.
- Place the soaked slices in the warm skillet and cook until golden brown on one side.
- Flip the slices and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Keep cooked slices warm in an oven set to 200°F.
- Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and top with whipped cream before serving.
