- 1 cup rice

- 150 grams semi-sweet chocolate
- 350 ml evaporated milk

- 1 pinch salt

- 10 grams chocolate shavings
- 1 small amount orange zest
Instructions
- Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
- Combine 800 ml of whole milk with the drained rice in a large saucepan.
- Add 3 pieces of orange peel and 1 cinnamon stick to the saucepan.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Once the milk is simmering, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove the orange peel and cinnamon stick from the saucepan and discard.
- Add 150 grams of semi-sweet chocolate, 350 ml of evaporated milk, 350 ml of condensed milk, and a pinch of salt to the saucepan.
- Stir the mixture constantly over low heat until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Divide the arroz con leche into serving bowls and let cool slightly.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings and orange zest before serving.
