Lazy Girl Bang Bang Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 0.67 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.67 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1.5 lb medium raw shrimp
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 lb medium raw shrimp
  • 1.5 lb medium raw shrimp
  • 0.5 cup toasted panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup bang bang sauce
  • 0.25 cup green onions
  • 0.17 cup toasted panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup bang bang sauce
  • 0.25 cup green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread out 2/3 cup of panko breadcrumbs onto the baking sheet in a thin and even layer.
  3. Bake the panko breadcrumbs for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Once cooled, transfer to a bowl.
  4. In a bowl, pat 1 1/2 lb of medium raw shrimp dry.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of avocado oil, 2 tsp of paprika, 1 tsp of garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt to the shrimp. Toss until fully coated.
  6. Heat a cast iron pan on medium-high heat.
  7. Add the seasoned shrimp to the hot pan and cook for about 90 seconds on one side.
  8. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 60 seconds until they turn opaque.
  9. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl and toss with 1/2 cup of the toasted breadcrumbs, half of the bang bang sauce, and 1/4 cup of sliced green onions.
  10. Transfer the shrimp mixture to a serving bowl, and top with the remaining 1/6 cup of breadcrumbs and the rest of the bang bang sauce.
  11. Garnish with additional sliced green onions before serving.
