Seattle Style Hotdogs

A flavorful hot dog topped with sautéed onions and jalapenos, and slathered with cream cheese, inspired by late-night cravings in Seattle.

Seattle Style Hotdogs

Ingredients

  • 2 medium white onion
  • 2 large jalapeno
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 medium white onion sliced
  • 4 spicy beef sausage
  • 4 hotdog bun
  • 8 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 4 spicy beef sausage
  • 2 medium white onion sautéed
  • 2 large jalapeno sliced

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions and jalapenos.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil and butter. Sauté the sliced onions until they are translucent and slightly caramelized. Set aside.
  3. Grill the sausages over medium-high heat until they're fully cooked and have a nice char on the outside.
  4. Toast the hotdog buns until they are golden brown.
  5. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on each toasted bun.
  6. Place the grilled sausages into the cream cheese-smeared buns. Top with sautéed onions and sliced jalapenos.
