Garlic Miso Udon

Ingredients

  • 2 pack udon
  • 6 clove garlic cloves
  • 50 grams unsalted butter

  • 50 grams unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chicken seasoning powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon MSG

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add 2 packs of udon noodles to the boiling water and cook for 1-2 minutes until they are tender.
  3. Drain the udon noodles and set them aside.
  4. Peel and finely mince 5-6 garlic cloves.
  5. In a large pan, melt 50 grams of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Add the drained udon noodles to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic butter.
  8. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of miso paste. Mix well until the noodles are evenly coated.
  9. Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to the noodles and stir to combine.
  10. Season the noodles with salt, pepper, chicken seasoning powder, and a pinch of MSG to taste.
  11. Serve the Garlic Miso Udon hot with your protein of choice.
