Brisket Chili

A hearty one-pot brisket chili featuring smoked brisket, a variety of tomatoes, and a spice blend that gives an authentic chili flavor.

Brisket Chili

Cook time: 135 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1 onion
  • 1 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 pounds 2 pounds of chili meat
  • 1 can Fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of garlic
  • 29 oz Crushed tomatoes
  • 18 oz Tomato paste
  • 1 can 1 can of stewed tomatoes
  • 3.5 tablespoons chili powder
  • 0 Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and cumin
  • 32 ounces Beef stock
  • 1 pound Smoket brisket

Instructions

  1. Slice 1 onion and 1 bell pepper into thin strips.
  2. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and bell peppers to the pot and sauté until tender.
  4. Add 2 pounds of chili meat to the pot and brown.
  5. Remove all fat from the pot.
  6. Add fire roasted diced tomatoes and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and stewed tomatoes. Add all seasonings and mix well.
  8. Add Beef Stock. Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
  9. Let the pot simmer for 2 hours.
  10. Add 1 pound of cooked brisket and let it simmer for another 15 minutes.
