Cook time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 5 oz sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 pinch salt
- 0.5 lb green beans
- 1 cup onion
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tbsp hoisin
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 to taste crispy chili oil
- 1 to serve rice
Instructions
- Add sesame oil to a large heavy bottomed pot over medium-high heat.
- Add mushrooms and a hefty pinch of salt. Cook down for a few minutes or until the mushrooms start to heat up.
- Add ground pork and another pinch of salt, and use a meat masher to break up the meat.
- Once it’s almost cooked through, add the green beans, onions, garlic and ginger. Stir and cook until the pork is cooked through and the green beans are starting to soften.
- Make a little space in the middle of the pan and add hoisin, peanut butter and soy sauce and mash it together. Once combined, stir everything together and cook for a few more minutes until meat is coated and the green beans are crunchy yet cooked through.
- Remove from heat and add crispy chili oil if you like it spicy. Serve with rice.
