Ingredients
- 3 bananas ripe and mashed
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
- 0.5 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
- 0.5 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and granulated sugar until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
- Fold in any optional ingredients like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or cinnamon if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover the loaf loosely with aluminum foil.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
