Milk Banana Bread

Cook time: 70 minutes

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas ripe and mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and granulated sugar until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  4. Fold in any optional ingredients like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or cinnamon if desired.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover the loaf loosely with aluminum foil.
  6. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
