Garlic Steak Bites With Boursin Crostini

Juicy seared steak, creamy cheese, herby pan drippings, and a sweet and tangy balsamic drizzle… it’s basically a love letter in crostini form. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when you go to hide some for yourself for later. It’s called self-care, ok!?

Garlic Steak Bites With Boursin Crostini

Cook time: 25 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless New York Strip Steak
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 tbsp fresh garlic
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 1 whole Demi baguette
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 package Caramelized Onion & Herb Boursin
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tsp flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the room temperature steak into small cubes, approximately 1-inch each.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the steak cubes with kosher salt, fresh cracked black pepper, and garlic powder to evenly coat.
  3. Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until it's almost smoking.
  4. Add avocado oil to the skillet and immediately add the steak cubes, spacing them out to allow them to sear without steaming.
  5. Sear the steak cubes for about 2 minutes until golden brown on one side, then flip and sear the other side.
  6. Remove the steak from the skillet and turn off the heat.
  7. Add the salted butter, minced garlic, and chopped rosemary to the skillet, stirring to combine and scrape up any browned bits.
  8. Return the steak to the pan and toss to coat in the garlicky butter sauce.
  9. Preheat your oven's broiler. Arrange the baguette squares on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  10. Broil the bread for 3-5 minutes until it's golden brown and starting to crisp.
  11. Smear about 2 teaspoons of Caramelized Onion & Herb Boursin on each toasted piece of baguette.
  12. Top each piece of baguette with a few cubes of steak and drizzle with the remaining pan drippings.
  13. Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and a sprinkle of flaky salt before serving.
