Caprese Chicken Skillet

Ingredients
- 4 pieces chicken breast boneless, skinless
- 0 salt to taste
- 0 pepper to taste
- 0 Italian seasoning to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 large tomato sliced
- 8 oz mozzarella sliced
- 0.25 cup basil fresh leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 0 bread crusty, for serving
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temperature). Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Place the cooked chicken breasts back into the skillet.
- Top each chicken breast with a slice of tomato and mozzarella. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Drizzle the chicken with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh basil leaves. Serve hot with a side of crusty bread or a simple salad.
