Seaside Ceviche

A vibrant and fresh ceviche inspired by adventures in the Channel Islands. A perfect choice for a refreshing and tangy seafood dish, ideal for serving with tortilla or plantain chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 1 pound snapper or other mild white fish skinned, deboned, and cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 tomatoes seeded and chopped
  • 1 fresh mango peeled and chopped, optional
  • 0.5 red onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup fresh cilantro loosely packed, chopped
  • 2 jalapeño peppers chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 habanero chile chopped, optional
  • 0 tortilla or plantain chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice, and fine sea salt.
  2. Stir in the skinned, deboned, and cut into ½-inch pieces snapper or other mild white fish, seeded and chopped tomatoes, peeled and chopped fresh mango (if using), finely chopped red onion, chopped fresh cilantro, chopped jalapeño peppers, finely chopped garlic cloves, and chopped habanero chile (if using).
  3. Place the mixed ingredients in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 4 hours. Serve the chilled ceviche with tortilla or plantain chips.
