Chicken In A Cajun Cream Sauce
Chicken thighs cooked in a flavorful Cajun cream sauce

Ingredients
- 3 pieces chicken thighs
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste black pepper
- 0.75 cup all purpose flour
- 1 as needed olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 0.5 piece onion
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 heaping teaspoon paprika or cayenne and Italian seasoning
- 0.75 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon (optional) cornstarch
- 1 as needed rice
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the seasoned chicken in all purpose flour.
- Add olive oil to a pan and shallow pan fry each chicken thigh 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Use a lid if needed to cook so that the chicken cooks all the way through. Remove the chicken to a plate.
- To the same pan, add a tablespoon of butter and sauté garlic and onions for about 30 seconds, do not burn.
- Lower the heat and add your Cajun seasoning, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Add your chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce is thickened about 4-5 minutes. (you can add a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the sauce if needed.)
- Tuck in your chicken and let it come together with the sauce for a couple of minutes.
- Serve over rice.
