Maple-Roasted Cinnamon Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 unit honey crisp apples sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.33 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 0 pure maple syrup optional
  • 0 flake salt optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice 2 honey crisp apples and add them to a baking dish.
  3. Toss the sliced apples with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Add 1/3 cup of pure maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to the apples. Mix well to evenly coat.
  5. Bake the apples in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, mixing every 15 minutes until the apples are soft and golden brown.
  6. Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately top the baked apples with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  7. Drizzle additional maple syrup over the top and sprinkle with flake salt, if desired.
