Japanese Crab Omelette
A delicious and easy to make Japanese Crab Omelette recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sake
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 whole scallions
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1.5 tbsp corn starch
- 3 whole eggs
- 0.5 cup imitation crab
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 to serve rice
- 1 to serve gravy
- 1 to serve scallions
Instructions
- Make sauce by mixing together sauce ingredients and reducing in a pot over medium heat until it’s fully heated and the sauce has thickened, about 5 mins.
- Make omelette by mixing together eggs and imitation crab, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add 1 tbsp butter or oil to a hot pan over medium heat, then add omelette mixture.
- Gently push the edges of omelette inward until most of the egg has cooked- you can cover the pan with a lid to help steam if your omelette is thicker.
- Drizzle on 1 tsp of sesame oil and serve over rice + gravy + scallions.
