One-Pot Sausage and Gnocchi

Cook time: 15 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 whole shallot
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves
  • 3 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 0.25 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 packs gnocchi
  • 0.3333333333 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.6666666667 cup shredded Parm

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the sausage. Remove it from the skillet. Sausage is browned and removed.
  2. Add the shallot and garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant and translucent. Shallot is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
  3. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, until they start to soften. Tomatoes begin to soften.
  4. Add the white wine and cook covered for 3 to 4 minutes. Wine has cooked covered for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add the sausage back to the skillet, then add the gnocchi. Sausage and gnocchi are in the skillet.
  6. Add the heavy cream and water to the pan and mix well. Cook until the gnocchi are cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes. It may appear like there isn’t enough liquid, but the gnocchi will absorb it. You can add 1/4 cup water if you need more. Season with salt and pepper. Gnocchi are cooked through.
  7. Add the Parmesan and turn off the heat. Cheese is incorporated and heat is off.
  8. Serve with additional Parmesan if desired and enjoy. Ready to serve.
