Grilled Honey Harissa Chicken Thighs
Juicy, caramelized, and seriously addictive chicken thighs with a honey harissa flavor. Can be grilled or baked.

Ingredients
- 0.3333333333333333 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoon harissa paste
- 0.25 cup lemon juice
- 1.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 0.25 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoon harissa paste
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 0.25 cup lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 as needed avocado oil spray
- 1 as needed parsley
- 1 as needed pickled onions
Instructions
- In a blender, add all of the ingredients for the harissa sauce.
- Blend the sauce ingredients until smooth, and set aside.
- Pat chicken dry and add to a large bowl.
- Add all of the ingredients listed above to the chicken and toss to coat well.
- Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Turn grill on to 500F.
- Spray grill grates with avocado oil spray.
- Once the grill has reached 500F, add the chicken. Do not touch for 7 minutes.
- Then flip to the other side and do not touch for 6-7 minutes more, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then pour 1/2 of the sauce on top, garnish with parsley and pickled onions.
- Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
- If using your oven, preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add chicken, then bake for 15 minutes.
- Flip to the other side and bake for 13-15 minutes more.
- To get that crispy brown top, broil for 2 minutes at the end.
