Ingredients
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1.5 tbsp honey
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 whole lime
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 g sirloin steak
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1 drizzle oil
- 1 tbsp teriyaki
- 0.5 whole cucumber
- 200 g cherry tomatoes
- 0.5 whole red onion
- 1 whole red chilli
- 25 g mint
- 25 g coriander
- 1 portion sliced steak
- 1 portion dressing
- 1 garnish sesame seeds
Instructions
- Add the fish sauce, sesame oil, honey, grated garlic, grated ginger, juice and zest of one lime and a good pinch of salt to a bowl or small jar and mix well.
- Season your steak well with salt, pepper and a drizzle of oil. Get your pan nice and hot and cook your steak for 1-2 minutes each side until golden and charred, add the teriyaki and allow the steak to cook in the sauce for 30 seconds to a minute to allow the outside to caramelise. Cook to your liking. Remove from pan, season with more salt and leave to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Add the sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, sliced chilli to a bowl with the mint and coriander leaves, then add the thinly sliced steak, the dressing and toss through. Serve up and garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy.
