Matcha Tiramisu with White Chocolate Layers

This twist on a classic tiramisu uses matcha green tea powder for a unique flavor, layered with a creamy white chocolate mascarpone filling. It’s both beautiful and delicious!

Matcha Tiramisu with White Chocolate Layers

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate melted and cooled
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers about 24
  • 0 matcha powder for dusting
  • 0 white chocolate shavings, optional, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water and sugar until dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, melted white chocolate, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the matcha mixture and layer them in a dish. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the rest of the mascarpone cream.
  4. Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld. Before serving, dust with matcha powder and sprinkle white chocolate shavings on top.
